The long awaited National Plan for Music Education (NPME)was released on last Friday.
In it, the government re-affirm their commitment to music education and this is good news indeed.
Like many of my colleagues in the music education business, I am sifting through the fine detail but what is very apparent is the strong emphasis on early years music and opportunities for instrumental tuition from the age of 5 years.
This is a very significant development where Stringbabies is concerned and in due course I will be updating the website with an appropriate response.
I’m pleased to say that Instrumental tuition from age 4 is very alive & kicking in Surrey Arts! Now in 6 schools with more planned in the New Year. Watch their space - and this one!
prev Stringbabies in Surrey Arts ... next Musicbabies & Pianobabies
