Kay Tucker is a very experienced and thoughtful teacher, and this is a fresh approach that works! It is well structured and paced and adaptable for all ages.
The ideas are well set out, appealing and fun!!

My thoughts on teaching music

I like to see progress with enjoyment. Exams may be taken where appropriate, when a pupil and family have established a successful, enjoyable, and manageable practice pattern and the exam enhances the pupils’ progress. Chamber music is a delight to play in and a pleasure to take forward for life.

Musical experience

I studied music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London for 4 years and then undertook a postgraduate study with leading soloist Margaret Major. I taught at High Wycombe Music Centre specialising on the viola. Freelance playing has included the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the English Sinfonia. I am a member of the Salieri Quartet, performing regularly in concert and for a variety of social and other events. I currently teach for Surrey Arts, working with children of all ages. I also teach viola and violin at Charterhouse school, and Frensham Heights school. I have 3 grown up children all involved in music!
