Violinbabies and Xenia

I have been looking for a very long time to find a method that encourages creativity and freedom of expression for both the pupils and the teacher. It such a lovely way to not only teach the violin but to teach general musicianship that will equip students with essential skills, whatever musical path they might take in the future.

My thoughts on teaching music

I love teaching! I believe in strong guidance and support for pupils to achieve a good technical foundation in order to help them use the violin in an enjoyable way, but most of all I love watching the children explore, discover and develop. It is a gift.

Musical experience

I was born in Germany and moved to Greece with my family when I was 5. I first started learned the violin with my father but had since the fortune to meet some amazing teachers from all over the world at seminars, festivals, competitions and master classes where each one of them left their mark on me as a violinist and a teacher.

When I finished school I moved to Austria to study in Graz and then in the Vienna University of music.

I moved to the UK in 2003 and have been since then teaching in schools as well as privately and am an active freelance violinist performing in various orchestras and ensembles.
